Privacy Policy

ScaleArc (“ScaleArc”, “we”, “us”) operates scalearc.io, the free tools at /tools, the writing at /blog, and the growth audit request at /apply. This policy covers everything on this domain. It does not cover any third-party site we link to, including the government and regulatory sources cited in our tools and articles.

1. Information you give us directly

There are two versions of one form on this site: the growth audit request at /apply, and a shorter version on the playbooks, articles, tools, pricing and about pages. If you submit either, we receive your name, email address, studio website or Instagram, where you practise, team size, the kind of work you do, what you tell us is holding your studio back, and, only if you choose to give them, what you have tried so far, your WhatsApp or phone number, your LinkedIn profile and whether you want the newsletter. We also record which page you sent it from and the date and time. If you email hello@scalearc.io directly, we receive whatever you choose to write and your email address.

While you type your email address into the form, it is checked with an email verification service (Reoon) to confirm it can receive mail and is not a temporary address. Only the email address is sent for that check, and a form with an address that cannot receive mail will not submit.

2. The free tools do not send us your figures

The 20 calculators at /tools run entirely in your own browser. Every number you type into a fee proposal, a break-even calculation, an FSI check, an occupancy load or any other tool is calculated on your device and is never transmitted to ScaleArc, stored on our servers, or visible to us in any form. If you use the “copy summary” or “print” actions inside a tool, that output stays on your device or goes wherever you choose to send it.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics and tag management tools to understand how the site is used: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised interactions such as clicks and scrolling so we can see where pages are confusing. These may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and collect information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, and time spent on the page. This is aggregate usage data, not information tied to your name unless you have also submitted a form.

Google's use of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking site-wide using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies generally in your browser settings.

4. How we use information

• To reply to what you sent us, and to prepare a growth audit if you asked for one
• To follow up by email, or by WhatsApp if you gave us a number
• To send the occasional practice note, only if you ticked the newsletter box
• To understand which pages and tools are useful, and improve them
• To measure whether our own marketing is working
• To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

5. Who we share information with

Form answers are sent to a script we operate on Google Apps Script, saved to a private Google Sheet that only ScaleArc can open, and emailed to the founder's own inbox, so they are held on Google's infrastructure. They are used only to reply and follow up. Email addresses are checked with Reoon as described above, and the site itself is hosted by Vercel. We may later use an automation or CRM tool we configure for our own workflow to manage follow ups. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information under the new owner.

6. Data retention

We keep form answers for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to them and to maintain our own business records, and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@scalearc.io. Depending on where you are based, you may have specific rights under applicable law, for example the GDPR in the EU and UK, the CCPA in California, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the UAE's data protection law. We will honour reasonable requests consistent with those laws regardless of where you are writing from.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

This site is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in countries other than the one you are browsing from, including the United States. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

10. Children

This site is intended for architecture, interior design and design-build practice owners and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
