Privacy Policy

ScaleArc (“ScaleArc”, “we”, “us”) operates scalearc.io, the free tools at /tools, the writing at /blog, and the growth audit request at /apply. This policy covers everything on this domain. It does not cover any third-party site we link to, including the government and regulatory sources cited in our tools and articles.

1. Information you give us directly

The only form on this site is the free growth audit request at /apply. If you submit it, we receive whatever you enter: your name, studio name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number if given, where you practise, team size, main project type, approximate monthly enquiry volume, and whatever you write in the free-text bottleneck field. If you email hello@scalearc.io directly, we receive whatever you choose to write and your email address.

2. The free tools do not send us your figures

The 20 calculators at /tools run entirely in your own browser. Every number you type into a fee proposal, a break-even calculation, an FSI check, an occupancy load or any other tool is calculated on your device and is never transmitted to ScaleArc, stored on our servers, or visible to us in any form. If you use the “copy summary” or “print” actions inside a tool, that output stays on your device or goes wherever you choose to send it.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics and tag management tools to understand how the site is used: Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager. These may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and collect information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, and time spent on the page. This is aggregate usage data, not information tied to your name unless you have also submitted the audit form.

Google's use of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking site-wide using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies generally in your browser settings.

4. How we use information

• To respond to a growth audit request and prepare the audit itself
• To contact you by email or WhatsApp about your request, if you gave us a number
• To understand which pages and tools are useful, and improve them
• To measure whether our own marketing is working
• To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

5. Who we share information with

Audit requests are handled by ScaleArc directly. Depending on how a given submission is processed, it may pass through an operational service we use to run the business, such as our hosting provider (Vercel) or an automation or CRM tool we configure for our own workflow. If none is configured, a submission falls back to opening your own email client, and nothing is transmitted anywhere else. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information under the new owner.

6. Data retention

We keep audit request information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to it and to maintain our own business records, and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@scalearc.io. Depending on where you are based, you may have specific rights under applicable law, for example the GDPR in the EU and UK, the CCPA in California, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the UAE's data protection law. We will honour reasonable requests consistent with those laws regardless of where you are writing from.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

This site is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in countries other than the one you are browsing from, including the United States. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

10. Children

This site is intended for architecture, interior design and design-build practice owners and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
