Tools & content disclaimer

Effective and last updated September 6, 2026. This expands on section 2 of our Terms of Service.

Every calculator at /tools and every fee benchmark, fee scale, or building code figure mentioned in our writing is provided for general planning and educational purposes. None of it is professional advice, and none of it should be the last check you make before signing a contract, submitting for a permit, or committing money.

Fee and money calculators

The Architect Fee Proposal Builder, Break-Even and Billing Rate Calculator, Enquiry Leak Calculator, Project Profitability Reality Check, Fee Discount Impact Calculator, Marketing ROI Calculator, Late Payment Cost Calculator, and Firm Health Scorecard model your business based on the numbers you enter and published industry benchmarks. They are planning aids, not financial, tax, or investment advice. Your actual costs, margins and tax position depend on your specific circumstances. Consult a qualified accountant or financial advisor before making a financial decision.

Fee scales by region

The Council of Architecture Fee Compliance Check reflects the Scale of Charges under India's Architects (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 1989, as a statutory minimum. The UAE Villa Fee and Milestone Planner reflects observed market ranges, not a fixed statutory scale. Both change over time and can be updated or superseded by the relevant authority. Confirm the current figure with the Council of Architecture or your local authority before quoting a client.

Building code and planning calculators

The Dubai GFA and Buildable Area Calculator, India FSI and Buildable Area Calculator, Occupancy Load Calculator, and Stair and Ramp Compliance Checker apply published rules from sources named inside each tool, such as the Dubai Building Code, individual Indian cities' development control regulations, and International Building Code tables. These sources carry a name and a checked date inside the tool for exactly this reason: they change, they are amended locally, and a specific plot, building class, or authority can carry additional requirements a general calculator cannot know about. Some tools, such as the stair and ramp checker, let you enter your own local limits precisely because we could not verify every jurisdiction's current figure against a primary source. Always confirm the applicable figure with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, the relevant Indian development authority, or your local building department before it goes into a drawing, a permit submission, or a client conversation.

Unit and area converters

The Land and Area Unit Converter and Carpet, Built-up and Super Built-up Converter use standard conversion factors and, where a unit like bigha is not nationally standardised, ask you to choose a state so the value used is transparent. Verify the converted figure against the source document, such as a sale deed or development authority record, before relying on it for a transaction.

Drawing and scale tools

The Print Scale and Sheet Resizer, Reverse Scale Finder, and Area Schedule Builder are calculation aids. Always cross-check a derived scale or area against the actual drawing and your own measurements before it is used for construction or a formal area schedule.

No liability for reliance

ScaleArc is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on a calculator, a published fee figure, or a code value on this site. Using a tool or reading an article does not create a client relationship or a professional-services engagement between you and ScaleArc. Full liability terms are in our Terms of Service.

Something out of date?

We name sources and dates specifically so they can be checked and corrected. If you believe a figure, fee scale, or code reference on this site is out of date or wrong, please tell us at hello@scalearc.io, ideally with a link to the current source.
